Has Jeremy Henry Had His Child Yet??

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

In yet another post focused on a person with two first names, I have to ask this site’s faithful followers (all 2 of you, thanks Mom and Lauren)….has Jeremy Henry had his baby yet? Do you mind answering that for us Jeremy or anyone that knows the answer? If yes, can we get some pics of that little guy/girl?

Ledger’s About to Bust Out

Could be any day now and that little guy will be a free man. Here is the picture to prove it:

JDRF Diabetes Walk 08

Monday, November 10th, 2008

I have to take a short break from the Ledger Hinds updates (which means I just lost every Hinds’ family member as readers) to post about the Diabetes Walk we did this past Saturday at Reliant Stadium. Since looking at pictures is way better than reading anything I have to write, here they are:

David wearing a True Religion warmup suit to the walk (I didn’t know they made those either but you can damn sure believe David has a pair….after all, what else would you wear to a charity walk???)

Gabrielle and Rylee Walking (for those scoring at home, she is wearing a size Small t-shirt because she spilled coffee on her Medium)

FAQ’s About Lights Out Ledge

Friday, November 7th, 2008

There have been a few common questions that I have been fielding about the Sledge Hammer, so I thought I would address them here:

1.) Is he wearing True Religion jeans in the NICU?

No he is not…….yet. I would give him about a week and he will be busting out his first pair of TR’s.

2.) Did Ledger actually request a higher thread count for the sheets he is laying on in the NICU?

Yes, he did. It is hard to believe, but he just told the nurses that 100 thread count was not going to cut it.

3.) Is Ledger as smart as David is already claiming he is?

No. David claims Ledger already knows English, Spanish, and Italian. I have just heard English and Spanish from him myself. Ledger also believes in alternative energy from corn and I don’t think it can scale up for global usage. Not too smart if you ask me.

4.) Has Ledger already gotten confused by his Nana changing her name to Nonna in just the 3rd day?

Although some would believe that is a tough transition for a 3-day old baby, he has handled it like a champ. Hopefully, Nonna will not pull another switcheroo in the upcoming weeks.

5.) What is Ledger’s thoughts on the election results?

Diplomatically, he has chosen to avoid the issue with “no comment”. I have to commend him for this response.

That is all for now. PR for this baby can wear a guy down.

Sledge Hammer’s a Fast One

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

I just got word from Sledge Hammer’s dad that they have figured out why he is still in the NICU. Apparently, all of the attention from the female nurses hasn’t gotten old to him. David is prepared to bribe him out of there in the next couple of days. I can’t say that I blame Lights Out Ledge. I guess the little guy is a fast learner.

Poem for Ledger Ross Hinds

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

I am at the hospital right now with Mookie and Primo Hinds and we all just got together and came up with a flow for Ledger. Just a little something we came up real quick as we passed the microphone around. It goes a little something like this:

“You could have a steam train
If youd just lay down your tracks
You could have an aeroplane flying
If you bring your blue sky back

All you do is call me
Ill be anything you need

You could have a big dipper
Going up and down, all around the bends
You could have a bumper car, bumping
This amusement never ends

I want to be your sledgehammer
Why dont you call my name
Oh let me be your sledgehammer
This will be my testimony
Show me round your fruitcage
cos I will be your honey bee
Open up your fruitcage
Where the fruit is as sweet as can be

I want to be your sledgehammer
Why dont you call my name
Youd better call the sledgehammer
Put your mind at rest
Im going to be-the sledgehammer
This can be my testimony
Im your sledgehammer
Let there be no doubt about it

Sledge Sledge Sledgehammer”

No big deal, just a little ditty for the little ladies’ man.

**UPDATE**
Apparently, some guy name Peter Gabriel liked our poem so much that he made a music video on YouTube out of it. Cool video and we appreciate the love you are showing us but you have two first names. Is that like Ricky Bobby or something?

David and Morgan Are Having Ledger Today!

Monday, November 3rd, 2008

It was just scheduled by the doctor and we are headed there right now to see the Sledge Hammer. So far everything is good and this was to be expected although it was scheduled for today. I will post more as soon as I know something.

Update 1 (9:00am, 11/4/2008)
The little guy, Ledger Ross Hinds, was born at 11:42am on November 3, 2008, He weighed in at 5 lbs. 15 oz. He had a little case of “wimpy white boy syndrome” (Doctor’s words, not mine) where he had a little fluid in his lungs. Apparently that is something that many white boys face at birth. Throughout the day he improved very well and is still in the NICU coming on strong. I will post another update after lunch when I get back from the hospital.

Update 2 (1:00pm, 11/4/2008)
The Sledge Hammer is still in the NICU as of right now but he has improved enough that they were able to take the oxygen hood off of him so he could breathe on his own. They are hoping that he gets to leave the NICU today after he builds up his breathing enough on his own.

Update 3 With Picture (8:20am, 11/5/2008)
The littlest worm is still in the NICU but he is progressing. I am posting a picture of him wearing his own customized beanie:

Update 4 (12:00pm, 11/5/2008)
Good news! The doctor just told Dave and Mookie that he has his last 6-8 hours of drying out his lungs and then he will be free to party. I will update as soon as he is out of the NICU.
