Best LCM 2nd Baseman, Shaun or Chad?
I almost started this post with the title “Greatest LCM 2nd Baseman, Shaun or Chad?” The problem with that question is like asking who is the greatest runner-up in the Miss America pageant……who cares about 2nd basemen when the better athlete is at shortstop???
I am referring to Shaun Seago and Chad Kemp. Both guys dropped anchor at 2nd Base for the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears for a few years and both did a solid job. I would really like to see who gets more votes based on their play and not who gained 80 lbs the fastest after graduation. I would also not like to see it based on who is the shortest, who hit the least home runs, and who made the last out for their seasons.

WELL BLAKE, YOU BRING UP A VERY INTERESTING DEBATE. I HAVE KNOWN THESE 2 GENTLEMEN A VERY LONG TIME, AND I COULD SEE VERY EASILY HOW SOMEONE WHO DOESNT KNOW THEM WOULD BE CURIOUS IF THERE WAS EVER ANY ATHLETIC TALENT IN EITHER OF THEM AT ALL. BY JUDGEING THEM ON THERE BODY TYPE NOW ALONE, FOR A STRANGER, IT WOULD BE A MERE TOSS UP.
TAKE MR. SEAGO FOR INSTANCE. HE IS THE SHORTEST LITTLE MAN I HAVE EVER SEEN AND HE IS GETTING QUITE ROUND IN THE MID SECTION. HE REMINDS ME OF DANNY DEVITO EXCEPT SHAUN MIGHT BE A LITTLE SHORTER. IT WOULD BE HARD TO SEE HOW MR. SEAGO WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE ANY RANGE AT ALL WITH THOSE SHORT LITTLE ARMS AND TINY LITTLE LEGS AT SECOND BASE. ALSO, AT THE PLATE, THE LITTLE GUY COULDNT HAVE USED MORE THAN A 28 INCH BAT AT THE MOST. THERE IS NO WAY HE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET A 33 OR 34 AROUND IN TIME. HE PROBLEY USED THE SAME BATE IN T-BALL BECAUSE HE HASNT GROWN SINCE. ANYWAY, SO YOU SEE WHY IT WOULD BE HARD TO GIVE MY VOTE TO SHAUN. HE JUST HASNT QUITE DEVELOPED LIKE HIS LITTLE SISTER HAS.(AND I DO MEAN DEVELOPED!) IF HE WOULD HAVE, HE MIGHT HAVE MADE THE BIGS!
NOW LETS TALK ABOUT ABOUT THE PROS AND CONS OF CHAD, OR SHOULD WE JUST SAY CONS. I WILL SAY CHAD HAS A HUGE HEART ALONG WITH A HUGE STOMACH. LETS FACE IT, THE GUY LOOKS LIKE THE BIGGEST PEAR I HAVE EVER SEEN. AS FAR AS THE GUYS ATHLETIC ABILITY….WELL, WHAT ATHLETIC ABILITY? HIS LITTLE BROTHER GOT ALL OF THOSE GENES. IF WE WERE VOTING ON WHO COULD GO ON THE LONGEST DRINKING BINGE, PUFFIEST CHEEKS, OR WHO COULD GO HOME THE EARLIEST ON THERE BACH. PARTY, THEN HE WOULD GET MY VOTE FOR SURE! I DONT REALLY HAVE MUCH MORE TO SAY ABOUT CHAD I GUESS. I PROBLEY SHOULD HAVE PLAYED BASEBALL INSTEAD OF GOING THE SOCCER ROUTE MY SENIOR YEAR. I COULD HAVE EASILY STARTED AT 2ND.
I JUST DONT HAVE ANY IDEA AS TO WHICH WAY THE DOOR IS GOING TO SWING FOR ME. ITS A PRETTY TOUGH DECISION. I GUESS I WILL GO WITH CHAD JUST CAUSE I FEEL SORRY FOR HIM. DONT GET ME WRONG, I FEEL SORRY FOR BOTH OF THESE GUYS. JUST A LITTLE MORE FOR CHAD.
ALL IN ALL, BOTH OF THESE GUYS WERE PRETTY PATHETIC AT SECOND BASE. LIKE MR. POUTRA SAID EARLIER, SECOND IS JUST THERE TO HELP OUT SHORTSTOPS. THATS WHERE THE REAL ATHLETES PLAY. I MEAN REALLY, LOOK AT COED SOFTBALL LEAGUES. WHERE DO THE GIRLS ALWAYS PLAY….YOU GOT IT. SECOND BASE!

While my best wishes go out to both of these fine men in this close competition, I’m hoping that we stick to our values.
With the shocking results thus far, I continue to ask myself this question……
How is it possible for Chad to find that many different computers in such a short time to vote for himself 10 times?

Blake, Your are SO Silly!!! =) You know I had to vote for Shaun…Sorry Chad…
=) Stacey =)

Man, I wanted to vote on who gained 80lbs the fastest after graduation…chad…those “Rocky Mountain refreshments” are transforming him into a caucasian buddha. And to actually think that guy used to run cross country….what a shame!

For those of you wondering who CORNELIUS DEBATER is above…..that is ZACH PADGETT.

I can’t believe Chad actually spit on me back in the day. He was probably saying how sorry he was for doing that in the pic above.

For those of you who are looking for some inside info on who gained the weight the fastest post HS career, read below. This is a true story.
It was about 5 years ago, meaning Mr. Seago was 23 years old, and we were all at a crawfish and one of our close friends dads was there. I wont mention the name for it is not important.
When the friends father was saying hello to everyone he skipped over Seago like he had never seen him before in his life. When actually he has watched Shaun grow up since he was about 7 or 8.
The friends father then introduced himself to Seago. Our friend said “Dad, its Seago.” The friends father then said and i quote
“OH, DAMN SEAGO, I DIDNT RECOGNIZE YOU, YOU PUT ON A FEW POUNDS”
I have never laughed so hard in my life.

Best web-based poll i’ve ever seen. Of course, being that I only had the opportunity of playing with seago, he’s gotta get my vote.
But i was a little disappointed in him when he cried like a little bitch after making the final out of ‘96.

so far i have 3 people slotted for a bloody nose:
Zach (if his wife will ever let him hang out again)
Benoit (i could rip on him all day)
Duhon (this one will have to be a hit and run)

IM NOT SURE IF YOU COULD REACH OUR FACE LITTLE MAN. YOU BETTER JUST SETTLE FOR A KICK IN THE SHIN.
August 9th, 2007 at 4:44 pm
Well my vote goes to Seago 100%. Not only because he is my brother, but because he is the most kick ass baseball player ever….Sorry Chad, but it’s true! Oh yea, and Zach, if you’re gonna talk about me, you probably should have voted for Shaun Paul!
August 9th, 2007 at 5:23 pm
Well, I have to go with Shaun to, all though this is the first time of me ever hearing of him I have to do it because of the simple fact that hes MY brothers girlfriends, brother.. k.

I voted on Kemp so there would be a tie. Neither should win this poll. The best second baseman in the history of LCM Baseball only played there for his junior year. He moved to centerfield in his senior year. His name was Steve Griffith. These other two clowns are not even in the same league.

Why do I feel the need to take a day off of work tomorrow in order to make sure I come out on top?
Griff….you sure you had a choice in that move to the outfield?

You are all hilarious, and obviously love rag on your friends… it’s great! The highlight of my day. Only saw Seago play at ETBU, when my sister and him were dating, but I thought he did a great job. I have to say that because he’s my brother-in-law and father of the next GREATEST baseball player…Parker man. He also had a pretty cute baseball BUTT, I know because Stacey made me take MULTIPLE pics of it… can we get a posting of that Stacey? Just for old time sake…
