Grow

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Growth is an adjective, grow is a verb. We want to grow. We are putting a strategy in place that will either catapult us into another level or drop us flat on our face. We could continue to move at the pace we’ve been going, which has been impressive, or we can jump right in headfirst and take some market share. We have decided on the latter. To commemorate the decision there was nothing else to do but print a shirt. The artwork is below: Grow

Adobe Is On Fiya

Monday, April 16th, 2007

Adobe just launched their media player based on the Apollo framework. They are shipping Creative Suite 3 this month as the first major package including their Macromedia properties. Go to Nike and MTV and see their sites built completely in Flash. Their stock price has a 52 week range of 25.98-43.90 and it closed today a point+ under that high at 42.40. Keep on keepin’ on Adobe, I have always been a fan.

Don Imus is Fired and He’s Ugly

          Thursday, April 12th, 2007

I just wouldn’t feel like a blogger if I didn’t post something about this ignorant a$$. This guy needed to get canned like I need a million dollars. For one, I am tired of looking at his ugly mug on TV every time I turn it on. He is definitely a good example of why Hi-Def TV is a bad idea. No wonder his career was on the radio…are you kidding me? I think he is stuck in some time warp in Nowhere, TX circa 1870 something. Don’t worry…no pics for this post.

Benoit and Darren if you are reading….I almost went clone on this one.

          CMSMatrix.org

CMS MatrixI came across a pretty cool site called CMS Matrix that does great comparison work on Content Management Systems. You can select from over 100 different CMS and create a matrix of their features along with their costs. I just found a new contender in the CMS search but I don’t want to list it just yet until everyone has been given their chance. I was sold on a particular system until I was given the opportunity to look elsewhere due to poor first impressions. There will be more to come……

          Gotta Get It

          Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Sony UXI have been flirting with the Sony UX Ultra Portable laptop for quite some time now. I waited until it started shipping with Vista so that I didn’t purchase XP at the last moment. There are basically two models, one with a 40 GB hard drive and one that costs more with a 32GB hard drive. Why would less GB’s cost more? Because the 32 GB option is a flash hard drive that can handle the mobility much better.

The machines are sport a 4″ screen but they have a full operating system. You don’t have to deal with some hack browser that is shipped with a weak OS. I can install any of my main programs with an external DVD drive but the shortage of memory is going to limit me to only the most necessary ones. The keypad is hidden by the flip-up screen and isn’t qwerty. I can live with that though because I am going to use this laptop during limited situations. Long story short…..I think I am going to pull the trigger on one of these guys.

          Decision on the New Space

          Monday, April 9th, 2007

That new space we were looking into in my previous post will be decided on this Wednesday. I have to say that I am don’t want to post any pictures just yet. If we decide to go with this place, there will be plenty of before and after photos but not until the “after” is complete. This place is rough! We are about to get down and dirty with it. There will be more to come….
